So a couple days ago was the anniversary of those grinning ghouls - Fauci, Birx, Adams, and that feckless fool Trump, announcing their ā15 Days to Slow the Spreadā Big Con.
I was feeling emotional - and also a bit burned out by Twitter. So before I left for the week (yes, Iām trying for at least a week) I tweeted the above. Yeah, I poured my middle aged little heart out.
I made the mistake and checked my account briefly a few hours later and saw my tweet had been subjected to the āElon Effectā - apparently Elon retweeted it and now my follower count has grown by around 30% in just 48 hoursā¦.
Social media is very toxic. Breaks are necessary for our mental and emotional health. I was fully aware from early on as I had a friend near Wuhan in Dec and Jan when this started. I knew something was wrong and was more afraid of the political undercurrent than I ever was of the virus. That has just ballooned as these feelings morphed into reality. It's very discouraging.
That being said there is hope in finding others, people like yourself that help keep keep things grounded in intellectual honesty.
I've been a volunteer for various health freedom groups the last few years but I just got on Twitter about two months (anon account) and found you. I've missed out on your great content and hope to see more.
The world went crazy as a result of Covid. I remember one year into the pandemic hiking in the mountains at 11,000 feet. I would see someone every 30 minutes. Two people were heading downhill towards me masked and with gloves on. They gave me the dirtiest look because I didnāt have a mask on and walked 20 feet out of the way to avoid coming into contact with me.
We definitely need breaks, but for what it's worth, people like you saved my sanity. I was an early Covid alarmist & came to my senses partly as a result of my own questing nature but also because of people who had the sense to see things rationally from the start & the guts to speak out.
It wasn't easy to do that. You guys went against a massive tide. I will never forget that. Good on you!
I look forward to GeroDoc II, tanned, ready & rested. Also, congrats on getting noticed by the man!
Twitter breaks are very healing, but I do miss interacting with you and my other anonymous friends. Maybe we will meet IRL someday. Keep keepin it real!
On Substack, I have followed you with great admiration for your courage and perseverance, not just words but action with old age, and the weak on our society. Thank you. Now I follow you on Twitter, and would like to invite your to a Twitter Space if and when you can. Have a good Sunday,
